"GRATEFUL" GOD IS GREAT

Case Michael & Stephen Cade 3lbs 11oz and 3lbs 14 oz
Case & Cade Welcome to this World!

After 73 days in the hospital on complete bed rest we delivered our twins Sept. 9 (32 weeks gestation) by c-section @ 12:53 &12:54.  We stayed in the NICU a little less than 3 weeks, the twins came home Oct. 1st.  We are all healthy and adjusting.  I do apologize for not updating my blog sooner, but shortly after my"Shaken"post, I was placed back on "mag" literally until the day I delivered the twins.  It was a long emotional & painful physical experience, but with a Happy Ending and I promise I will share soon.  Even though, it was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone, I developed life long relationships with nurses and doctors.  Relationships I will cherish for the rest of my life. So many prayers, and so many of my friends, people I haven't seen in years, came by to visit, sent food, sent gifts and cards.  I was humbled and amazed at all the thoughtfulness and kindness I was given by all.  Words can not describe how much all of this meant to me.
This entire experience has changed me a little.  I mean, I have always valued life, but I value life in so many different ways now.  I realize how quick everything you know can change in a blink of an eye.   I have always thought God sends certain people to you in a time of need.  All my family, friends, nurses and doctors were those people God sent to help me.  It was all of you that motivated me to stay positive and look what we achieved!
I also realized the power of LOVE!  It was also the LOVE that I have for my children that kept me from not losing my mind.  The magnesium sulfate was the only med that kept me from not going into labor, I knew staying on it was the only way I was going to get them here as healthy as possible.  I will later describe the bittersweet effect this drug has on a person.  You do whatever you have to for the sake of your children and that's what I did!
I have so much to be thankful and grateful for!  My little 15 month old and my 2 lil 8 weekers!!      Today was my due date, Nov. 4!  Ha!
Things are very, very busy, very, very crazy and at times we all cry at once (including mama), but we are living a Good life!
As I laid in the hospital this was the "time frame" I dreamed about!   The pregnancy journey being over,  my twins being healthy and being with Colt!  Being his Mama again!

Colt took this pic of himself!  He loves playing with his mamaw's phone and we didn't realize it until later.
